The 8th ranked Missouri Tigers bounced back with a 6-3 win over third ranked Texas on Sunday, getting a split and keeping their Big 12 title hopes alive. Nicole Hudson led the offense by going 3-for-4 on the afternoon with a home run and four RBI and Chelsea Thomas won her 25th game of the season.

The Tigers are 43-7 overall and 12-3 in Big 12 play, one game behind Texas, who is 45-7 and 14-3 in the Big 12. If the Tigers beat Oklahoma State on Wednesday and sweep Iowa State next weekend, they guarantee themselves a split of the Big 12 championship at worst. If Texas loses to Baylor next Sunday and Missouri wins out, the Tigers would be the outright champions.

Thomas became the first Tiger pitcher ever with 300 strikeouts in a single season. She suffered the loss on Saturday when Texas hit two solo home runs and the Tigers mustered just one hit off Blaire Luna, the Longhorns star pitcher.
