Five Platte County firefighters have been seriously injured in the head-on collision of two of the department’s fire trucks. A sheriff’s spokesman says the trucks were on their way to a building fire … one had missed the driveway and had turned around. The collision happened when both trucks tried to turn into the same driveway.
