The special board that runs the St. Louis schools has ordered an internal audit of attendance. The move comes a few days after the state auditor subpoenaed district records. Auditor Tom Schweich says he’s gotten reports the district has inflated its attendance numbers to get more state funds.
The board says the information should be available by the time of its next meeting on the 26th.
