Jeff Francoeur hit a game tying home run in the sixth inning and then came back and lifted a ball to the outfield deep enough to score Alex Gordon from third in the bottom of the tenth to give the Royals their fourth win in a row, a 6-5 win, over the Baltimore Orioles. The Royals are now 13-5 at home.

Gordon led off the 10th by drawing a four pitch walk off O’s reliever Jason Berken. Gordon got to third on Billy Butler’s single to center, before scoring on the sac fly.

The Royals jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second for starter Jeff Francis who was looking for his first win in seven starts. K.C. got on the board with RBI doubles from Wilson Betemit and Mike Aviles and a sac fly from Brayan Pena.

Another Melky Cabrera double in the fifth scored Chris Getz, who reached on Cesar Izturis’ error, but the Royals were still down 5-4. Francis was pulled after 5.1 innings, after giving up five runs on six hits and four walks, while striking out four. Francis, got a no-decision.

Francoeur led off the bottom of the sixth with his team-leading seventh home run on a 3-1 pitch from Jeremy Accardo.
