After a hot start to the season, the Kansas City Royals cooled off as they had dropped six games in a row.  Maybe all they needed was to come back home to the K as they break the streak by beating the Minnesota Twins.

It would not be easy as the Royals would have to come from behind to beat the Twins.

The Royals were down 3-2 in the bottom of the eighth when Wilson Betemit would hit a double.  He would go to third on a single by Kila Ka’ahiue.

Jarrod Dyson would come into the game to run for Ka’ahiue.  Betemit would then score on a bad throw by Twins catcher Drew Butera.  Dyson would then move to third.

He would then score on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Alcides Escobar.

Blake Wood got the win for KC, while Jokaim Soria the save.

Game two of the 3 game set is tonight at Kauffman Stadium with Sean O’Sullivan getting the start for the Royals.

First pitch is 6:10.
