The largest state games in the nation, the Show-Me State Games, is working to grow even bigger in 2011.  This spring, the Show-Me State Games is partnering with the Missouri Beef Industry Council to add four fun runs throughout Missouri. The fun runs are scheduled for Carthage on May 7, Savannah on May 14, Sedalia on May 21 and Columbia on June 11.

The event is $25 for pre-registered adults and $10 for kids 12 and younger. In addition, runners will receive a free t-shirt and participants in Carthage, Savannah and Sedalia can be a part of the Columbia run for no additional fee. For more information and online registration, visit smsg.org.

The Show-Me State Games is also preparing for the Missouri State Senior Games June 10-12 and the Show-Me State Games June 10-12, July 22-24 and July 29-31 in Columbia, Mo. More than 40 sporting events for all ages and ability levels are scheduled during the three weekends of the SMSG. Once again in 2011, adult soccer and basketball will be in June.
