The killer of a University City policeman gets a double life sentence without parole that might not begin until about 2030. Todd Shepard is two years into a 23-year term for cocaine possession.

Shepard, who is black, says he killed a white policeman hoping to start an anti-government revolution. He never indicated any remorse about killing police sergeant Michael King as King sat in his police car in 2008.
