Butler county authorities say they have a confession from a man who appears to be a serial firebug.
Ellsinore resident Gary W. Bender is charged with burning down three houses and a modular home owned by the former county sheriff. He faces four arson charges. A state fire marshal’s office spokesman says Bender has given details of how he set the fires.
