The Cardinals offense is nowhere to be seen. Held to just one run on seven hits, the Cardinals dropped the final game of this three game series with Pittsburgh losing 3-1.

Chris Carpenter pitched six innings and gave up two runs, one earned while striking out six. Carpenter gave up a home run to Neil Walker. Kevin Correia moved to 2-0 on the season keeping the Cards scoreless through seven innings with just five hits.

The Cardinals scored their lone run in the ninth, when Yadier Molina doubled scoring Lance Berkman from third.
