We have our first announced candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 2012.
Conservation Commission chairwoman Becky Plattner of Marshall lost in the democratic primary in 2008 for the Lieutenant Governor’s office. She’s a former Saline County presiding commissioner.
The office is considered likely to come open next year. Incumbent Peter Kinder has talked about running against Governor Nixon.
