A Barry County jury has deadlocked in the trial of Michael Higgins, who is accused of killing a man four years ago.
A judge has declared the mistrial after jurors reported a deadlock after only two hours of deliberation.
The prosecutor has not said if he’ll try to have a second trial for Higgins. Higgins was accused of beating another man to death at a conservation area near the southwest Missouri town of Jenkins.
