Senior Todd Schavrien will close out his career as an All-American, as the Tiger won his first match of the night by a 12-3 major decision over Michael Mangrum of Oregon State.

Junior Dom Bradley dropped his semifinal match to No. 1 Zachary Rey of Lehigh by a 2-1 score. Rey escaped almost immediately in the second period and rode Bradley for over a minute in the third to edge the Tiger for the second time this season. Bradley drops to the consolation semifinals, where he will take on Maryland’s Spencer Myers, looking to advance to the third place contest.

With their first-ever All-America honors, Schavrien and Bradley give the Tigers 32 All-Americans in program history. Since head coach Brian Smith has taken over, the Tigers have had 15 different grapplers finish in the top-eight 27 different times. This is the ninth straight season that Mizzou has had multiple wrestlers recognized as All-Americans.

Missouri stands in a tie for 19th with 30.5 points. Tomorrow morning’s session begins at 10 a.m. CT.
