The Montgomery County prosecutor has been barred from prosecuting any cases. The Attorney General had asked for the court order, saying prosecutor Lee Elliott had acted as a defense lawyer for a man charged in Montgomery City municipal court with speeding. The attorney general says state law forbids prosecutors from representing criminal defendants.
