In Arizona, Royals pitcher Vin Mazzaro gave up three runs in 3.1 innings against the Angels. Jarrod Dyson was 3 for 3 for the Royals in their 4-3 win.

In their split squad game, Oakland got “Jiggy Wit It” scoring four runs in the first inning off Royals pitcher Will Smith. Former Missouri Tiger Aaron Crow pitched two scoreless innings for the Royals and Joakim Soria threw an inning of scoreless ball in a 4-4 tie.
