The No. 7 Lindenwood men’s basketball team will end its best regular season in school history on Saturday afternoon with a home game against William Jewell.

With a win, Lindenwood will win the HAAC Championship outright and will earn the number one seed in the conference tournament. With a loss and an Evangel win, the Lions will have to share the title and will be the two seed in the conference tournament.

Lindenwood will also have several other items on the line. Most importantly, a win will help the Lions keep their high national ranking, which will help their seeding down the road at the national tournament.

Lindenwood can also set a new school record for wins with a victory, and can get some revenge over a William Jewell team that handed the Lions their worst loss of the season.

The Cardinals were nationally-ranked for most of the season, but recently fell out after losing three out of its last six games.

Saturday will be Senior Day at Hyland Arena, and the men’s basketball team will honor its three seniors in David King, Alfred Nelson, and Richard Rose.

The Lions and the Cardinals will tip off this afternoon at 4 PM.
