Springfield’s police chief is reviewing the traffic stop records of 28 of his officers who have higher rates of stopping black drivers than white drivers. That’s about 10 percent of his force. He wants to see if there’s been racial profiling … but Chief Paul Williams tells the Springfield News-Leader several factors might be involved in the stop numbers.
