Missouri State used the combination of a big second-half scoring run and solid all-around defense to post a 63-50 win over Indiana State Thursday evening at Hulman Center to snap a two-game losing streak.

Casey Garrison totaled a game-high 18 points for MSU, which notched its sixth consecutive victory over the Sycamores for its longest win streak in the series with Indiana State since February 2002.

For the ninth time this season Missouri State held an opponent under 30 percent shooting, as the Lady Bear defense put the clamps on ISU in the second half. The Sycamores hit just 7-of-31 (.226) field goal attempts after the break and finished the game 16-of-56 (.286) from the floor, as MSU outscored ISU by a 33-21 margin in the second stanza to seize the win.

Missouri State, which improved to 17-7 overall and 8-4 in Missouri Valley Conference play, will continue its three-game road swing Saturday (Feb. 12) with a 1:05 p.m. contest against Illinois State at Redbird Arena in Normal, Ill.
