Kyle Weems matched a season high with 27 points, and Missouri State knocked down 13 three-pointers to hold off Bradley 77-69, at JQH Arena on Wednesday in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Bears (19-6, 11-3 MVC) are in a first place tie in the MVC standings with Wichita State with four league games to go.

Wednesday’s game featured 10 ties and 10 lead changes. After trailing by one at the half, Missouri State opened the second period on an 11-2 run to build a 46-38 advantage, but Bradley battled back and actually held the lead as late as four minutes to play. Weems and Adam Leonard both hit three-pointer shots over the next two minutes and the Bears went 8-for-8 at the free throw line in the final minute to seal the victory.

Missouri State returns to the road Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at Illinois State (11-14, 3-11 MVC) before returning to JQH Arena next Tuesday for a 7:05 p.m. match-up with Drake.
