Matt D’Agostini scored the a tiebreaking goal with four minutes left as the St. Louis Blues sanpped a four game losing streak by beating the Florida Panthers 2-1 on Tuesday night.

David Backes also scored and Jaroslav Halak made 30 saves coming up big for the Blues at times. Florida turned the puck over at the blue line, giving St. Louis a 3-on-1 as it came down the ice. D’Agostini’s shot beat Tomas Vokoun high for the game winner.

The Blues took advantage of Panther miscues tying the game on Backes’ goal with a minute to go in the second period. The Panthers turned the puck over at their own blue line and Backes fired a wrist shot past Vokoun for his 18th goal of the season. Backes scored for the fourth time in seven games.
