The Missouri Western men lost their third straight road game 79-63 against 13th ranked Fort Hays State University. Western got outrebounded on the night 43-25 and 12-3 on the offensive end of the floor. The Griffons were led by Adrian Thomas with 16 points as the Griffons fall to 9-10 overall and 7-7 in MIAA action.

Despite playing without its top two scorers the Griffons played the Tigers tough. Western withstood a good early Tigers start using a 13-3 run tying the score at 19 after a long range shot from TJ Johnson with 11:23 to play. FHSU regained their composure using a 16-2 run to take their largest lead of the game at 35-21 with 6:16 to play in the first half.

The Tigers made a statement early in the second half using a 17-6 run to build on that lead at 56-35 after a Dijon Smith dunk with 14:23 to play. Western never got any closer than 14 the rest of the way.
