The No. 7 Missouri Tigers wrestling squad saw their five-match winning streak come to an end on Sunday, as the No. 16 Nebraska Cornhuskers beat Mizzou 17-16 in their final Big 12 Conference opener.

MU’s Alan Waters won his 35th match of the year scoring a 5-3 decision on David Klingsheim. Nebraska took their first lead of the day after getting a decision at 157 and a technical fall at 165 to jump ahead 11-10.

Junior Dorian Henderson put the Tigers back on top with a 4-2 decision at 174. However, the Huskers took control of the match with back-to-back decisions at 184 and 197, extending their lead to 17-13. Dom Bradley knocked off No. 11 Tucker Lane at heavyweight for his 20th win of the year, edging the Huskers by a 5-4 decision.

Missouri returns to action next weekend when they’ll face both Oklahoma State and Oklahoma at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4 in Stillwater, and Saturday at 3 p.m. in Norman.
