The State Supreme Court says Kansas City discriminated against a white woman who wanted to be a municipal judge … and owes her $2.1 million.
The suit had been filed by Melissa Howard. She and two other white women had been nominated for the judgeship but the Kansas City Council rejected all three after criticizing the nominating process because it included no black nominees.
