The St. Louis Zoo has had a rare birth — a black rhinoceros calf, the first one born there in two decades.

It’s a male that weighed more than 120 pounds when he was born. He’s not on display yet because it’s too cold and because it’s time for him to be bonding with his parents.

It’s thought there are only about 2,000 black rhinos in the wild.
