Former state republican chairman Ann Wagner is making her bid this afernoon to become the national chairman of the party.
Tennessee Republican Chris Devanney mades Wagner the first of five candidates put before the national committee.
Wagner and three others are challenging the re-election of chairman Michael Steele, who is seeking a second term. The party is more than 20-million dollars in debt.
