A Newton County judge has to decide what liabilities Robert DuPont and his wife face for the Anderson Guest House fire in 2006 that killed eleven people and hurt a dozen others.
The Duponts had agreed to a trial without a jury. They’ve agreed they and their River of Life Ministeries would pay $6.4 million if they are found liable.
DuPont says he was not aware of deficiencies in the building that state inspectors say were there.
