Governor Nixon has held a private meeting with presidents of the state’s four-year colleges and universities to give them a preview of his budget recommdndations for higher education.
The acting President of the Unviersity of Missouri has told the Columbia Daily Tribune Nixon did not offer any deals on tuition and state funding as he has for the last couple of years. In previous years he asked schools to freeze tuitions in return for small or no cuts to their budgets.
