Missouri State outscored Illinois State 16-2 during a four minute spurt in the first half to take control of a 76-61 win over Illinois State,  snapping an eight game losing streak against the Redbirds on Tuesday night at JQH Arena. The Lady Bears beat the team formerly coached by Robin Pingeton, current Mizzou coach.

MSU would also go on a 17-5 spurt to open the second half that included a stretch of 6:17 where ISU coudn’t score. Missouri State would hit on 44.3% (27-of-61) on its field goal attempts, while holding the MVC’s highest scoring team 13 points below its season average on 35.8% (24-of-67) shooting from the floor. MSU forced 21 Redbirds turnovers.
