A Springfield high school student has lost his court fight to play basketball this year. A judge agrees with the state high school activities that Kickapoo High School Senior Christian Kirk is not eligible.
He claims he transferred last summer from St. Charles to Springfield to care for his father. But the St. Charles school says he transferred for athletic reasons. He already has signed to play for Missouri State University next year.
