Three Perryville men are charged with stealing scrap metal and selling it after a victim refused to let them get away. The Perry County sheriff says a homeowner caught them stealing metal form his property and blocked the road until police could arrive. The sheriff says some metal taken in previous burglaries have been sold to recyclers in two other southeast Missouri counties. He says the sales were recorded on security camera.
