Gov. Nixon was rear-ended Friday on Highway 50 in Jefferson City. The Patrol says the Governor’s Crown Victoria was rear-ended by a Mazda, which pushed the security car into the car in front of them.

The crash report indicates all five persons involved in the accident received minor injuries, and the Governor’s office reports he was treated and released at Capital Region Medical Center, which is protocol anytime he is in an accident. The patrol says he was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened.
