A convicted murder has been released on bond in West Plains, despite the protests of a state prosecutor. Shawn Hanna was found guilty of the 2003 murder of his father last month. He could face life in prison, but he won’t be sentenced until February. The Southeast Missourian reports a state attorney asked to have Hanna’s bond revoked because he would be a flight risk. But the judge still set bond at $250,000.  Hanna posted that bond and has been released.
