Authorities hope DNA helps identify a man’s head and torso found in the Mississippi River at St. Louis last August.
The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports police agencies in Alton, Illinois and in Memphis Tennessee have made inquiries.
Two other bodies, both men, taken from the river in 2007 and 2009, were never identified and have been buried in unmarked graves.
