A video on posted on YouTube shows a St. Louis policeman spraying a man with pepper spray and hitting him several times with a police baton. The department has taken the officer off the streets and is investigating the incident that was recorded early New Year’s morning at a St. Louis gas station. The video was shot on a smart phone by a bystander in a nearby car.
 The owner of the gas station says the officer worked for him when he was off-duty and says his actions were justified.
