The Missouri Tigers beat Oral Roberts 81-62 at Mizzou Arena on Thursday night. The 12th ranked Tigers improve to 9-1 by going on a 17-4 run to end the first half with a 13 point lead.

Several story lines in this game, first starting with Phil Pressey starting at point guard for Michael Dixon.  Pressey ran into foul trouble midway through the second half, but showed explosive speed at times and did a fairly good job of handling the basketball.  Pressey had just two turnovers, but seven assists including five in the first half.

Four Tigers scored in double figures including 17 from Laurence Bowers, 16 from Marcus Denmon and 10 apiece from Ricardo Ratliffe and Kim English.  English sparked the late second half run when he connected on back to back three pointers that broke that 20-20 tie into a 26-20 MU advantage.

After a slow start, the Tigers shot 54% in the second half, but struggled past the arc going just 5 of 14.  Oral Roberts outrebounded Mizzou 40-32 with 20 offensive rebounds.  Damen Bell-Holter pulled down 17 while scoring 12.  Dominique Morrison led all scorers with 18.
