Record-setting performances and extensive individual honors are the common theme among the three men and three women who will comprise a six-member induction class for 2011 into the Missouri State University Athletics Hall of Fame. The group includes standouts from six different Missouri State teams as the shrine’s 37th annual induction unfolds the weekend of Feb. 4-5, 2011.

The group includes two basketball players who provided inside scoring and rebounding leadership to their respective teams throughout their careers, standout starting pitchers for the softball and baseball Bears and a pair of three-time all-conference selections who were statistical record-setters in football and volleyball.

Missouri State’s 2011 Athletics Hall of Fame class includes softball pitcher Nora Cagwin Whitcomb (1996-99), baseball pitcher Kirby Cannon (1977-80), basketball player La Tanya Davis (1992-96), basketball player Danny Moore (1996-99), footballer Brad St. Louis (1996-99), and volleyball player Linette White Randle (2000-03).

Of the former student-athletes, St. Louis and Cannon become the 100th and 101st Bear football players to go into the hall, Davis is the 25th women’s basketball inductee, White is the 30th volleyball player, Moore is the 79th men’s basketball player, Cannon is the 23rd baseball player and Cagwin is the 25th softball player.
