University of Missouri softball player Jenna Marston was named USA Baseball’s Sportswoman of the Year. Marston played on Team USA’s bronze medal winning team at the Women’s Baseball World Cup.
Marston led Team USA with a .593 batting average and was second among all players in the World Cup. Marston also led the tournament with 16 hits and eight doubles. As a freshman at MU last season, Marston hit .366 with five home runs and 52 RBI for a the Mizzou softball team that made its second straight Women’s College World Series appearance.
Marston is a St. Louis native who attended Principia H.S.
