Somebody is getting a great deal on a house in Lake St Louis. It’s been put up for auction, because the owner has declared bankruptcy. The winner is going to pay about one-sixth of the cost of the house.
A bankruptcy judge is expected to approve the only bid for the $27 million mansion built at Lake St. Louis by Darain Atkinson, one of the brothers that ran the now-bankrupt US Fidelis extended-warranty company. The winning bid is $4.75 million. The bidder’s name is being kept secret for now.
The money will go to creditors of U-S Fidelis.
