The William Jewell College men’s soccer team defeated University of Science and Arts (Okla.) 3-1 to advance to the semifinals of the 2010 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Tournament in Orange Beach, Ala. This marks the second trip to the NAIA semifinals in the last five years (2006 and 2010) for the Men’s Soccer team.
The Drovers got on the board in the 30th minute of the first half for the first and only goal of the half. Jewell then came out of halftime fired up and rallied for three unanswered goals in the second half.
William Jewell will next take on Hastings (Neb.) on Friday, December 3 at 6:00 p.m. in the semifinals of the tournament. The women’s soccer team is in the quarterfinals of the national tournament and play Thursday morning in Decatur, AL.
