Missouri is getting almost $4 million in a settlement with a bankrupt pigment company and will use the money to cleanup creosote-contaminated sites in Springfield and Kansas City.
A bankruptcy judge has approved the amount, part of a national bankruptcy settlement with Tronox Corporation involving several other states and the Navajo nation. Tronox was based in Oklahoma.
