Kirksville high school softball coach Kim Belanger has resigned as the Lady Tiger’s team coach so that she can spend more time with her child.  In seven years of leading the program, she took the team to four MSHSAA Final Four appearances in five seasons. She also led KHS to five straight North Central Missouri Conference Championships. Belanger was 136-52 at Kirksville.

Helias (Jefferson City) football coach Chris Hentges is also stepping down from his position citing more family time as a reason for his decision to move on. Hentges was an All-American playing for the Crusaders in the 80’s while playing for his father Ray. In five season, Hentges was 41-8 during the regular season with three district championships and a 9-4 playoff record with two Class 4 runner up finishes.
