Ford is moving a step closer to making a big announcement about its Claycomo assembly plant.

Ford has applied for a $150 million tax credit package approved by the state legislature in the summer special session. Ford is not commenting, but the Department of Economic Development is confirming the request.

The law giving the tax breaks requires Ford to make a big investment at Claycomo and to create jobs there. The tax credits would be spread over ten years.
