Joshua Maylee

A few details are emerging in the murder case of a mid-Missouri man accused of killing three and wounding another.

Police haven’t released much information about the case against 23-year-old Joshua Maylee of Holts Summit, but court records indicate Maylee had “negative dealings” with both couples he apparently targetted. Documents state that 41-year-old Gina Werdehausen told investigators that she was shot in the neck after going outside her Holts Summit home Tuesday night to check on a disturbance. She couldn’t identify the shooter, but gave police a description of the man who then entered the home and killed her husband, 46-year-old Jeffrey Werdehausen.

Gina Werdehausen told investigators Maylee had made threats against she and her husband. When officers checked on another couple who had negative dealings with Maylee, they discovered 48-year-old Eugene Allen Pinet and his 47-year-old wife, Jackie, shot to death in their Holts Summit home.

Maylee is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree assault. He didn’t enter a plea during a court appearance on Friday.
