Sikeston has banned the opening of anymore payday loan stores for at least six months. One councilman says the businesses are predatory lender. A city spokesman says the city has one payday loan operation for every one-thousand residents.
Council members say they’ll spend the six months researching proper ordinances for payday loan shops.
