The United States Supreme Court has agreed to listen to arguments about whether former Attorney General John Ashcroft can be sued for false arrest.
Ashcroft, who served during the most recent Bush Administration, is being defended by the Obama administration. The lawsuit questions whether Ashcroft is immune to charges that he misused his office to allow suspected terrorists or those linked to suspected terrorists to be arrested under false pretenses.
