Mizzou Basketball will host its first formal outing of the highly-anticipated 2010-11 campaign on Oct. 28 as the Tigers play the annual Black & Gold Game inside Mizzou Arena at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the game are just $5 and proceeds go to benefit the Boys & Girls Club. Celebrity coaches for this year’s Black & Gold Game have a campus flare. Student body President Tim Noce will coach the Tiger Black squad, while MU’s Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Cathy Scroggs, will direct the Tiger Gold.

Mizzou officially opens practice on the season Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. and the first exhibition game is slated for Nov. 5 vs. Harris Stowe State at 7 p.m. The regular-season opener is scheduled for Nov. 18 at Mizzou Arena vs. Western Illinois as part of the 2010 Cancun Challenge.
