A St. Louis man who scammed banks out of about $5 million in a real estate development scheme has been sentenced to six years in federal prison.
A judge has rejected Gary Rickert’s plea that his sentencing be delayed so he can get treatment for mental and health issues. The judge has noted he got a delay in August after submitting fake letters from doctors and hospital medical staff members.
