All the talk in baseball today will be on Cliff Lee who pitched a complete game six hitter allowing one run for the Texas Rangers who won their first playoff series in franchise history with a 5-1 win over Tampa Bay.

Lee went 2-0 in the divisional series, but I’ve been paying attention to their second basemen Ian Kinsler. The former Missouri Tiger, the 17th round pick of 2003, led the Rangers with a .444 batting average, three home runs (tied with Nelson Cruz) and 6 RBIs in the five game series including a two run homer in the ninth last night that sealed the game. The Rangers will host the Yankees starting on Friday in the ALCS.
