Missouri junior TE Michael Egnew was named the John Mackey Tight End of the Week by the Nassau County Sports Commission. Egnew had six catches for 52 yards and a touchdown in the Tigers 26-0 win over Colorado. Egnew, leads all tight ends in the nation with 39 catches., for his play in last Saturday’s 26-0 win over Colorado.

His two TD’s is the first multi-TD game was since All-American Chase Coffman had a pair of touchdowns against Kansas in 2008. Coffman was the 2008 recipient of the John Mackey Award, which goes annually to the nation’s top tight end.
