According to sources at ESPN, St. Louis Rams wide receiver Mark Clayton has a torn patella tendon in his knee and is done for the season. Clayton was running a route down the sideline when he went down and eventually had to be carted off the field.

Clayton was brought in to give Sam Bradford another veteran target to throw and the two former Oklahoma Sooners were doing a good job of that. Clayton entered this weekend tied for fourth in the NFC with 22 catches. Clayton was a first round pick by Baltimore in 2005.

With Clayton’s injury, the load of the Rams’ passing gave will now fall into the hands of Danny Amendola. He caught 12 passes for 95 yards.
