The number two-ranked Central Missouri Jennies Soccer team was led by a pair of freshmen in a 3-0 shutout over Washburn on the road tonight. UCM captured its sixth shutout of the season with the win, and outshot the Lady Blues 19-1.

Central Missouri (10-0, 8-0 MIAA) extended its season road winning streak to six games, two shy of the UCM record, and has scored in 20 consecutive matches, three short of a conference record.

The Jennies got on the board in the 30th minute on a shot 10 yards out off the foot of freshman defender Carly Stanley. Junior forward Sharaya Sidebottom was credited with her first assist of the season on the play.

Five minutes later the Jennies added another goal by freshman midfielder Kristin Bright, her first collegiate score. Sophomore forward Aaryn Burke had the assist, her second of the 2010 campaign.

Early in the second half, Stanley added her second goal of the game and fourth of the season. It is the third time this season that a Jenny scored two goals in one game, previously done by junior Alyssa Rhodes and sophomore Kayla Shain.

Freshman net minder Brooke Cooley played 76 minutes in goal before giving way to sophomore Linnsie McMahan. Neither goalie faced a shot.
